The Arts in Place-Making We are delighted to announce the publication of our tourism textbook Sustainable Narratives & Technologies in Tourism . We want to thank Ouistreham’s artist-in-residence, Sophie Eugène, along with the Directrice of Education & Culture for the support they gave us during our fieldwork. For my chapter 7 on Knowledge Networks, Sophie devoted valuable time to explaining her residency and her art practices, especially for her painting, L’Estuaire. On a second visit to Ouistreham, I was able to view the painting in the town hall in the old town centre called Le Bourg. Mark Stothard’s chapter 16 on slow tourism in our new book is also inspired by art practices in Ouistreham Riva-Bella and encourages visitors to stop over in the town and spend time exploring the culture of the place.
