British Council Connections Through Cultures For me the project: ‘Bridging Cities: Exeter X Jakarta’ organised through the British Council’s Connections Through Cultures programme has developed my writing along with my presence across the publishing community. From the mentoring session with Carla Jenkins of Raw Writing (Exeter), I have extended the use of dialogue in my meta-fiction writing. Further, Carla invited me to a writers’ workshop she had organised within Special Collections at the University of Exeter Old Library. We examined the archive of letters between authors from the last century and this prompted me to begin a new writing experiment using the WhatsApp Community feature on smartphones.
